Legislative Council Administrator

The Legislative Council Administrator, a position created by 1995 PA 189, is responsible for supervisory oversight for all Legislative Council offices. The Council Administrator acts as Secretary to the Legislative Council. The Council Administrator has overall budgetary and personnel supervision for staff operation of the various agencies under the authority of the Council. These agencies include the Legislative Service Bureau (LSB), the Legislative Council Facilities Agency (LCFA), the Legislative Corrections Ombudsman (LCO), the Michigan Law Revision Commission (MLRC), the Michigan Commission on Uniform State Laws (MCUSL), the State Drug Treatment Court Advisory Committee (SDTCAC), the Legislative Commission on Government Efficiency (LCGE), the Legislative Commission on Statutory Mandates (LCSM), and the Joint Committee on Administrative Rules (JCAR). The Legislative Council Administrator is an ex officio member of the Michigan Law Revision Commission.
The Legislative Internet Technology (LIT) Team within the Legislative Council Administrator's Office provides essential Internet services to the Legislature and the Council Agencies. These services include:
- Programming and Development of the Michigan Legislature's Website (http://www.legislature.mi.gov)
- Maintenance and Monitoring of the Legislative Network Infrastructure
- Internet Service Provider for the House, Senate, LSB, and other Council Agencies
