Guided tours are offered from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Scheduling Information

Scheduled tours are offered weekdays by the Capitol Tour and Information Service. Tours encompass the public areas of the Capitol and include visits to the House and Senate galleries. Guides provide historical and contemporary information on the building and the legislative process.

The State Capitol is handicap accessible. Please see Capitol Services and Accommodations for Persons with Disabilities.

Driving Directions:

If westbound from I-96 or I-69: exit onto US-127 and proceed to downtown Lansing via I-496.  From I-496, take the Walnut Street exit and proceed north.

If eastbound from I-96: exit east on I-496. From I-496, take the Walnut Street exit and proceed north.
